Enlou is a cultural practice institution based in Chongqing, at the meeting point of the Ba River and the Shu Mountains.

Found By Weiyu Dou,  Duolannala, Cho Kanei, We operate across curatorial practice, architectural restoration, and sustainable brand strategy, weaving together structures and ideas to renew space with narrative and vitality.

Guided by a deep respect for history and the traces of everyday life, we engage with endangered architecture in a state of suspension. By reclaiming and reusing local materials, we explore how space can embody memory, respond to its environment, and coexist with nature.

Through this multidimensional practice, Enlou seeks to transform the countryside into a bridge between past and future, individual and community, ruin and rebirth.

They embody our meditation on architecture, inscribed with the scars of history and the faint imprints of daily life.

NEW PROJECT IN BANAN, CHINA

With a melancholy gaze, we look back at those that have vanished from history—structures predetermined by modern judgment as uninhabitable, destined to collapse, unfit for the present.

Once severed layer by layer from the soil and the roots of the land, what remains to be preserved is a compassion from past generations toward the notion of “dwelling”—a house, or a tower, both as shelter and as spirit.

“Architecture is another form of the mountain’s expression,” as this saying conveys.
